The brief

Rachel and Reed began planning their dream wedding during a visit to Tuscany, where they stayed at Villa I Bibbiani, a stunning villa nestled on the hills about half an hour from Florence.

This villa is renowned for its expansive park, which is home to one of Italy’s most important botanical gardens. A blend of Italian and English gardens, the park is adorned with stone furnishings, statues, and water features, including a striking stone arch known as the “Arch of Man,” a charming carousel, and the “Teatro Verde,” a theatre immersed in greenery.

In Italy, traditional wedding ceremonies usually involve a brief ceremony at the venue, followed by drinks and tapas outdoors, and then a reception and dance. Rachel and Reed chose to follow this format.

The ceremony took place in a secluded area of the villa’s vast park, beneath a prehistoric stone arch dating back to Roman times. The grandeur of this ancient structure was so captivating that we opted for minimal floral decorations, allowing the natural beauty to take center stage.

For the cocktails and dinner, we embraced bold and colorful florals. Rachel, who had a deep love for flowers, helped us design a unique décor using Toile de Jouy fabrics for the tablecloths, decorative plates, and vibrant floral arrangements. The result was a stunning and unexpected display.

The dance floor was set up in the villa’s courtyard, where a live band kept everyone dancing late into the night, all under the watchful eyes of two giraffes!
